I like this haiku because it leaves a lot to the imagination. For example, what is the wait for? I also like how the time of year is established; autumn is a time that usually signifies death which I find very interesting. One suggestion I would make would be to build the poem a little bit more concrete so that a specific image is painted in the reader's head. Overall though, good work!
